Tabs
Tabs are an easy way to allow users to move
between pages and even applications. Tabs are displayed on the
page in the location defined by the page template. A good
example of tabs is shown right in HTML DB, Figure 11.27. They
have created three tabs which are displayed on every screen
except for the login page. These are the Application Builder,
SQL Workshop, and Administration tabs at the top right of each
screen by putting them on Page of each application. These tabs
actually tab between applications in HTML DB.
There are two
types of tabs that can be defined in HTML DB. The first is the
standard tab which is a typical setup of tabs such as that shown
in Figure 11.27. The second type is the parent tab. A parent
tab is used as a container for a number of standard tabs. The
parent tab configuration can give the user a sense of where they
are in the navigation.
