of Work
Does an acceptable amount of work get accomplished
on a regular basis? Are complex tasks completed along with simpler
work requests? Does the employee have the ability to multi-task and
still meet the expectations of IT customers and management?
Good Worker Story
An IT manager employed a computer programmer who
was a machine. She was so intense, driven by her job, and efficient
that she would produce and test code like it was an assembly line. She
could be asked to do anything additional and it was assimilated into
the workflow without any trouble or impact on the deadlines. It is
good to have a few heavy-lifters in the team who can carry the load
when times get hectic. Sometimes the downside of such individuals is a
loss of quality but this was not the case for this individual.
