Conspiracies Against the Mentally Ill
To qualify, the disabled person must have a
psychological neurosis as delineated by the American Psychological
Association diagnostic guidelines, and the animals must provide a
legitimate service. For example, a person who was traumatized by a
mugging could get diagnosed with Agoraphobia and gain the right to
keep an Emotional Support Animal in an area where no pets are
allowed.
Many business owners, especially hotels and
restaurants, are against this law and some are using Internet forums
to circumvent the new laws.
Conspiracies are a clear violation of the law,
but questions about the legality of website content are more
complex.
Illegal Websites and
Cybercrime
Since laws vary widely between countries,
websites that are legal within one country can be highly illegal in
others. Here are some common examples:
Gambling – While this activity is acceptable in
many countries, it is prohibited in many states in the U.S.A.
Child Pornography – Many nations have no
specific laws against child pornography, while it is a serious
offense in the USA. This is an especially dangerous area because
just clicking a URL to a kiddie porn site can be a crime.
